Bird Watching Tours

We love birds and we love to watch them. Eagle County, where we take our tours, is blessed with a wide variety of avian habitats from the Alpine Tundra and Krummholz of the high peaks, to the Sagebrush Shrublands, and Pinon-Juniper Woodlands along the Colorado River Valley. That makes for great birding for both expert and beginner alike, with birds like the Goshawk, White-tailed Ptarmigan, Rosy Finch, Clark's Nutcracker, and Band-tailed Pigeon to please the "life lister" and plenty of different birds to initiate the first time birder.

On our tours we provide each person with quality binoculars, field guides, the use of several spotting scopes. No one gets stuck asking, "Where, Where?" while the others "ooh" and "ah". Everyone also gets a Trail Wise checklist to track the days progress and a fresh picnic lunch.

Private Birding Tour - You call it! We can spend all day chasing an elusive life-list bird or concentrate on a bird group like raptors, flycatchers, or warblers. Or we can teach you the basics on a first time birder lesson. It will be just us with our binoculars, field guides, spotting, scopes, bird call CD's, and a nice lunch. We'll spend a long day relaxing in the Colorado sunshine and bagging some birds.
