DESCRIPTION: Keep the dormancy of winter at bay with an end-of-summer high-altitude challenge. Find out what the allure of climbing to 14,000 feet is really about by training in the Central Rocky Mountain's high-altitude playground. Making first ascents to high-alpine lakes at 11, 500 feet, and then to 13,000 foot peaks, you will cultivate the necessary techniques to climb high with on-the-trail coaching in body mechanics, gear utilization, and motivational practices. Culminating in a hike to 14,000 feet, realize your dreams to be on top of one of the country's highest peaks.

ABILITY LEVEL: Recommended for individuals that have advanced intermediate to advanced fitness training. Long day hikes with 1,500-3,000 foot vertical gains. Hiking the 14er is more than a 4,000 foot vertical gain.

Guided by your personal photography guru, this retreat rejuvenates the soul by immersing you in natural settings to create lasting memories. To complete the photographic journey, each participant will create an eScrapbook to document their Rocky Mountain story.
