Shrine Pass Road is a must-do legendary ride from Vail Pass to the historic town of Red Cliff. It is nine miles of fantastic dirt road cruising starting at 11,000 ft. elevation, and ending at 8600ft. at the historic town of Red Cliff. The route follows beautiful Turkey Creek and has views of Mt. of the Holy Cross. There are great side trails to explore as well.
Another wonderful ride begins on the Continental Divide at Tennessee Pass and takes the famed Colorado Trail down to historic Camp Hale. This awesome route is a combination of jeep trail and single-track trail cruising through thick forests and open flower-filled meadows. Even ride your bike to a waterfall.
A third great ride is the Muddy Pass Road that has unbeatable Gore Range views, and is one of the best trails for spotting wildlife. This little-used road rolls and requires some uphill pedaling, but there are endless miles of beautiful backcountry cruising through remote forests and meadows.
Your guide will teach you safe riding techniques and will customize the route to be the perfect level of adventure for your group.
Our Mountain Biking Tours are private outings where your guide helps you to choose a great trail to a beautiful destination. These bike rides are appropriate for all ability and fitness levels. Because it is your own tour with your own guide we will select the right level of difficulty.
Our private guided tours are easy for you to plan. We pick you up at the door of your hotel or residence, transport you to the trailhead, and provide all of the gear that you will need to be outfitted like a pro. We provide new front and full-suspension mountain bikes, helmet, gloves, pack, wind shell, bottled water, and a snack. Serious cyclists can bring their own pedals and shoes.
